Öl/Leinwand. In romantisches Licht getauchte Landschaft mit kleinem, bebautem See und Bergkulisse. Von der Düsseldorfer und Münchner Schule inspiriert, schuf der deutsche Maler Dieste nach autodidaktischem Studium und ausgedehnten Reisen feinfühligste Werke. Bis heute sind sie in ihrer Leuchtkraft, ihrer harmonischen Komposition und der besonders zarten und glatten Malerei unverwechselbar. Rechts unten signiert, verso bezeichnet.
