Öl/Holz. Schafe im Stall bei abendlicher Stimmung. Das vorliegende Gemälde dürfte aus dem Brüsseler Atelier stammen, das der belgische Maler Verboeckhoven 1847 gegründet hatte. So entstanden in dieser Zeit besonders viele Tierstücke - meist mit Schafen -, die sich durch eine sorgfältige und glatt-elegante Malerei auszeichneten. Links unten signiert.
