Öl/Leinwand. Porträt von Alexander Hamilton (ca. 1757 - 1804). Stuart gilt als der bedeutendste frühe amerikanische Porträtmaler. Politiker und Persönlichkeiten malte er lebensnah im natürlichen Stil. Er bereitete die Grundlage für die Porträtmalerei Amerikas. Min. Ret., rest., altersbedingte, gute Erhaltung. Um 1795.
