Gouache/Papier. Zusammenkunft vor der Stadt. Der aus einer deutschen Künstler-Familie stammende Kneller emigrierte nach dem Tod seines Vaters nach Großbritannien, wo er zu einem der führenden Porträtmaler seiner Zeit wurde. Als Hofmaler wurde er schließlich zum Ritter geschlagen. Links unten auf "1715" datiert. Guter Zustand. England, um 1715. H x B ca. 36 x 53 cm, ger. u. Gl.
