Bronze/feuervergoldet. Gehäuse in Form eines rechteckigen, liegenden Sockels über muschelförmigen Füßen. An der Sockelfront reich verziert mit Rollwerk. Darüber bildet sich eine naturalistisch gestaltete Zone aus, auf der ein elegant gekleideter Gelehrter mit einem Buch in der Hand an einem Baumstumpf lehnt. Metallenes Ziffernblatt mit römischen Stundenziffern. Glas fehlend, ansonsten guter Zustand. Gangbarkeit nicht geprüft. Frankreich, um 1820. H ca. 58 cm
