Das Gemälde zeigt zwei kniende, betende Kinder am Fuße der Skulptur der Jungfrau Maria des französischen Marienwallfahrtsortes Lourdes. Das strenge Schema der Darstellung folgt den Gestaltungsregeln der Votivbilder. In der linken unteren Ecke zeigt eine blumenumkränzte Kartusche das Datum des Votivbildes. Unten links monogrammiert.
